OpenSpace Massage & Bodywork is a woman-owned business providing relaxing and therapeutic massage and bodywork services in the Richmond, VA area, with a particular focus on helping clients manage anxiety, trauma and pain symptoms. OpenSpace is a safe, inclusive space, welcoming of everyone, and dedicated to providing sensitive, client-centered care. I hold the firm belief that healthy bodies and minds create healthy communities.
For the last 20 years, I have worked to heal communities. From working alongside survivors of domestic and sexual violence, to providing funding, training and technical assistance to nonprofits to help them do their best work, to helping individuals and families become civically engaged to address our area's most pressing concerns, my commitment to creating a better world has been forefront in my work and my life.
And now my work shifts to directly heal individuals. I have created a practice that welcomes all and seeks to treat individuals not with policies or training or programs, but with the simple, yet transformative power of touch. I act out of the firm believe that when you stretch, you open up space. When you physically, emotionally stretch (or allow yourself to be stretched), you create space and allow for greater movement, greater vulnerability and more growth- in every way.
